As befits a queen, Beyoncé needs no introduction. From trading her usual honey-blonde for beach-blonde to her blinged-out Balmain micro mini dress at her London movie premiere after-party, we’ve just been grateful to witness Queen B’s Renaissance eminence lately. And of course she continues to look flawless (classic Bey) with her latest hair transformation – adding layers – and we’re crazy in love with it, duh.
While the “Energy” singer debuted her new beach-blonde hair at her Renaissance movie premiere at the end of November, she only just revealed the layers on her Instagram account on December 7 via a series of photos. Previously, she had long locks with no layers. The new ‘do puts the c in curve and perfectly frames her face, with the shortest layer appearing near her jawline then descending downwards. Complementing the new layers, Beyoncé is seen in the photos sporting a double-breasted gray pantsuit with diamond-encrusted pinstripes and diamond-rimmed sunglasses. No Bey outfit is ever complete without bling, and so she accessorized with oversized, stacked diamond and chain necklaces. Oh, and everything is in the true Renaissance aesthetic: silver.
Everything about Renaissance has predominantly been curated and customized including Bey’s incredible world tour outfits — Alexander McQueen, Courrèges, and David Koma, to name a few. So it is fitting that the superstar is also serving us beach-blonde hair with her custom twist of layers. Celebrity hairstylist Neal Farniah commented on Bey’s series of photos with “keep them talking” and he also posted Bey’s new layers to his Instagram account with the caption “Bordeaux France: any questions @beyonce @rokaelbeauty #hairbyme.” Overall, the rest of the hive seems very happy with Queen B’s new layered hair, and there are comments to prove it: “queeeeeeen,” “you better layer that hair cousin,” and “STUNNING.” It won’t be long before we see layered hair at the top of #trending.
