Hi, I'm Dylan O'brien, and welcome

to my Teen Vogue photo shoot.

Dave, in the first time, is kind of like a

classically lost in love teenage boy.

A 17 year old kid who, you know, has all these feelings

and doesn't really know what to do with them,

or how to process them.

He's got like these strong feelings for his best friend,

but then like this whole weekend happens

where his whole love life kind of gets turned around

when he meets this other girl, and he has feelings for her,

and he doesn't really know what to do with any of it.

And it's just kind of figuring all that out,

and going through it for the first time.

I related to Dave a lot in the sense that I had

a friend, like a girlfriend of mine,

like a really close friend of mine,

like a best friend,

and that turned into something eventually.

I mean, that not necessarily

what happens with Dave or anything,

but I can relate in the sense of having somebody

who you're in that zone with, that friend zone,

and you wanna move out but you don't know if she wants to.

You don't wanna, you know, you don't wanna

just butcher the entire relationship in general,

'cause at the end of the day,

the friendship means more to you than anything.

So it's just a very confusing, emotional time.

(mellow music)

I don't know if you could say that make any mistakes,

when they fall in love for the first time.

I think that's kind of a part of it,

is for it to just be something you learn from.

The first time you have any experience with love,

I think it's kind of just,

you just kind of winging it together,

and then you take away what you take away from it.

It's just, it's sweet.

It's just like, you know, it's very human.

For season three, Teen Wolf,

we are definitely going into it, we're diving right in.

I haven't been briefed on the story line so far.

But I always get asked about what

direction I want my character to go in.

I've come up with an answer,

I really think, I always struggle with it so much,

'cause I'm always like oh, God I gotta think of something.

But I really think the answer is

I'm like as entertained by where my character goes

as everyone else is, you know,

and like the only difference is I learn about it first

and then just have to portray it.

I've always loved my part on the show,

so I don't worry about that too much.

I'm just excited to see what Jeff Davis,

the creator of the show, comes up with.

Hey guys, with Dylan O'brien,

thank you for joining me on my Teen Vogue photo shoot.
