Who is Becky's celebrity doppelganger?

[gasps]

They're gonna put like a chihuahua or something.

Yo, what's up everybody,

I'm Becky G and we are about to find out

how well my fans know me.

This is Teen Vogue's Fan Survey, let's get it.

I can't move in this outfit. [laughing]

[upbeat music]

Becky from the Block.

What is Becky's favorite self-styled look?

I think I have a lot of not favorites.

We're getting better, shout out to my stylist, Morgan,

who changed my life.

Let's look at the pictures.

Something tells me this is gonna be like OG-BG stuff.

Oh, it is.

Oh, my God.

Oh, my God, it's so funny.

Someone uses-

This is like super side note.

Someone uses picture as reference to how me

and Demi Lovato look like we can be related.

I mean, I wanted the people

in the back of the audience to see me.

Oh, let's not remember this one.

Yeah, we we're gonna keep it moving.

I thought to customize some Tims was going

to be like the most genius idea and it wasn't.

[laughs]

Oh, my goodness.

All of these outfits are performance outfits

that I styled myself.

I mean, I'm not surprised.

You know, sporty girl vibes.

Like I was young I wanted to be comfortable on stage.

JLo sneaker with the heels,

how to get some height in there, it's crazy.

That's my-

DJ Osmo, by the way, he's my cousin.

He's still my DJ and we've traveled the world together

so it's kind of crazy like that.

Cody Simpson days.

Yeah, sporty girl vibes all day I was all about it,

which not much has changed, but now we just, you know,

we throw some shoulder pads in there.

Starting out as an artist, I mean, you struggle like,

you know, budgets aren't always the most friendly

and so I would do my own wardrobe.

Thank God my grandma taught me how to sew.

When I would go on tour,

I'd be like stitching up my outfits back together

whatever holes or rips were made at the show before

and now, I look back and I'm like-

I mean, I get the idea,

but I would've maybe executed it a little differently.

[upbeat music]

Who do you think was Becky's favorite artist

to collaborate with?

I'm not good with favorites.

I feel like I know who my fans would find

as like a favorite artist that I've collaborated with.

I think they would be crazy to not put Natti on there.

Natti's definitely one of my favorite collaborations

to see us two come together when like a lot

of people were trying to like pit us against one another.

I thought was really powerful.

I think Mayores with Bad Bunny was also quite

a game changer, so I think that's probably on there.

Karol, everybody loves Mamiii.

I've gotten to collaborate with so many amazing people

that it's kind of hard to just like say a few.

This is the grand reveal?

Oh, wow.

We're on the same page y'all.

Natti is definitely the top, 82 votes, I'm not surprised.

Karol's on there just like I thought,

Jennifer Lopez, I just still can't believe that happened

it's so crazy.

There's so many like years ago, but still so special to me.

I don't know if this is considered a collaboration

'cause she just came out in my video,

but like when JLo was in Becky from the Block,

like I just about died.

I was in the studio and I just remember everybody

in the halls of the studio was like,

JLo's coming, JLo's coming,

and I was like, Oh, my God,

and then she walked in looking like a literal angel.

Back in the days when she would wear

like those like sneaker heels all the time

and then she had like the JLo glow going on

with like a really slick, tiny little bun

and some gold hoops and I was just like, Wow.

She was like everything

and more I could have ever dreamed of.

Like as a little girl

she was like the sweetest thing ever

and I remember playing Becky from the Block for her

and then it was like,

Okay, so when are we shooting the video?

And I was like, What?

Hello?

Excuse me.

And it just happened, yeah, and not many people can say

they brought JLo to Inglewood, so.

Daddy Yankee, I mean the King of Reggaeton

like doesn't get any more iconic than that.

MGK in Good Mourning that was also kind of a moment.

I was in a time in my career where I just wanted

to do something fun and different

and then that came up like literally out of nowhere

like the serendipity of it all just felt right

and then, of course, Christina Aguilera.

[singing in foreign language]

That still feels like such a dream

because I just remember her being one

of the first artists that I would listen to

in English and in Spanish.

So like I bought the CD and then you would flip the CD over

and you would hear the same songs, but in Spanish

and it was like this confirmation that like

I didn't have to choose

like I could sing in both languages

and so I'm thankful for Christina for sure.

Please don't hit me in the face.

[laughing]

Oh, that was awesome.

What do you think Becky's most confident about?

How much she can eat?

I mean, I'm always confident when I go

to the restaurant, look at the menu, I'm like,

Yep, that's that.

I'm gonna get that and that and that.

I think another thing that I learned to become confident

about was the gap in between my teeth.

I got bullied for it for years and growing up,

getting discovered on the internet,

it wasn't a very less experience,

but once I got my veneers done,

I actually begged my dentist,

The gap's gotta stay.

You know, when Cardi B said,

Got a bag and fixed my teeth,

hope these hoes know it ain't cheap

and I pay my mama's bills,

I ain't got no time to chill,

I was like, Yes, that's amazing, except I kept my gap.

Ooh, ah, I love that-

You guys are so nice.

Man, I feel like I totally misinterpreted

that entire question.

I love this, top, top vote is being Mexican.

This is very true, I'm very proud to be Latina.

I don't know if it's like something

that most confident about.

I think something I take most pride

in is definitely being Latina.

Her voice, I do take a lot of pride in that as well.

Very confident in my voice.

Not just like my singing voice,

I take a lot of pride in my voice

as a young woman in this industry using my platform to speak

to bigger things beyond just being a singer

and my honesty, I think just being honest.

Work ethic, definitely.

I started working when I was nine,

which sounds wild to say, I'm 25 today

and I've been working more of my life

than I've ever spent not working.

I did so many castings and fit modeling jobs

and a bunch of back to school commercials.

I think my first job actually was

a Kidz Bop commercial, Kidz Bop.

I like the next one.

The next one is her makeup skills.

I think that if I wasn't a musician,

I would be a makeup artist or like a food critic,

which has nothing to do with makeup,

but my mom would let me play with all of her glam stuff

and I have pictures of me like just this little brown girl

with like a bunch of blue eyeshadow on

and then like red lipstick

and my mom was very, very supportive of that

so I'm thankful for it

because it obviously translates today

and then her teeth is next and her spirit.

Only two votes on her spirit?

We need to, we need to hype your girl's spirit up

a little bit more.

Let's see if I can throw this back.

Oh wow.

Transmutations.

Ooh, this one's heavy.

Okay. [gasps]

Who is Becky's celebrity doppelganger?

[gasps]

They're gonna put like a chihuahua or something.

[laughs]

Oh Isabela Merced, absolutely, we spoke about this.

She said one time that she got asked to sign a picture of me

and didn't have the heart to tell a person

that it wasn't me.

That's a lot of votes.

Guys, I mean, seriously, we totally look like

we could be sisters, right?

She's so pretty.

All of these girls are so beautiful I'm like so flattered.

Yep, no way, another G, she's also amazing, I love her.

Got my girl Natti, love her.

Oh, my God, You guys chose really good pictures.

Looking out for my girls.

Oh, I mean, you guys don't understand

I'm like one of the biggest fans ever.

Oh, also, I mean like, hello,

High School Musical was my introduction to Vanessa Hudgens

and like I was obsessed.

Although I totally would've stolen

like Troy Bolton from her.

Also, gorgy.

Wow, you guys chose really great pictures

of all of these beautiful, talented women.

Now, we just gotta get all of us in a room

and see if we at all look alike.

[upbeat music]

Ooh, there's a lot of papers in here.

What is this question?

What inanimate object would Becky be?

I don't think I've ever been asked this question before.

Like what does that even mean?

Food? [laughs]

Ho ho. [gasps]

That's a good one.

A microphone, that got 16 votes,

a rose, to be more specific, a concrete rose.

Like my actual favorite flowers is sunflower

because yellow's my favorite color

and it's like a happy color so when I see sunflowers,

it's just like so happy,

lipstick, red lipstick, I love red lipstick,

tiny bottle of Tabasco like, you know, the little baby ones?

Yeah, that's cute.

This is not Tabasco this is technically Tapatio

without the wrapper, but if you know, you know,

and if you don't, it's okay.

A crown? [speaking in foreign language]

We got some hoops, love that.

I mean, you guys know me

I literally carry hoops in my purse,

so like if I run out my house like I throw hoops on

and I feel like I can take over the world.

What's Becky's guilty pleasure?

Oh, my God there's so many things that come to mind.

Definitely food, but I'm not guilty about it.

Spicy things like hot Cheetos or Takis or anything to do

with like spicy foods,

but I don't know what might be number one,

I'm kind of nervous.

The grand reveal. [gasps]

Spicy foods, hot Cheetos, I knew it, I did say food.

Tequila, you know, it's Teen Vogue

so I wasn't gonna talk about tequila, but since it's there,

I'm not gonna deny that I am very tequila-

I mean, my family is from Jalisco where tequila is made,

so definitely love it and tacos, tacos are good.

[upbeat music]

Which music video do you think Becky is most proud of?

Well, I think some of my fans who like have been with me

from like the gett might know that like music videos

like Sin Pijama like mean the world to me

because it took a long time to get there.

[singing in foreign language]

Maybe even like Becky from the Block?

I don't know.

when I got discovered on YouTube.

♪ 'Til I get to the top ♪

Okay, and oh, hey, okay. [gasps]

You guys know me so well.

Sin Pijama's top, that's what we were talking about.

Becky from the Block is on there, Mayores, of course.

What's really funny about the Sin Pijama music video is

me and Natti met for the first time on set, which,

you know, as an artist sometimes is like nerve-wracking

'cause you're like, okay,

like you want them to feel comfortable,

I want them to feel excited,

And it was like instant chemistry and I was like relieved

I slid into her DM before that

I think the fans killed it.

You guys know me pretty well so far.

We put it in my filing cabinet.

[upbeat music]

How long do you think it takes Becky to write a song?

Hmm, I guess it depends.

If it's like a collab song

like I can do like two collabs in one day type thing

and we can just like, boom, boom, boom

if we don't have a lot of time,

but like when we're like going into like album mode

like I can spend days on a record.

Two days.

One to three hours, mmm, I'd say two days is like

a safe bet for sure.

I mean, all of these kind of are true, in their own way

because not every song is the same.

Historically, in the Becky G musical evolution,

collaboration has always been a huge part of what I do.

I'm not one of those artists who's like,

Yeah, I write all my songs all by myself.

My strength usually in the studio is

like finding like a beat a track or something

that I really, really love and then like

to kind of like loosen up, I love to just like go

in the booth and like just like sing melody

and then there's also been times where I'm like,

Now, this is what I wanna talk about today.

Like my song Dolores, on my album Esquemas was one

of those moments where I was like,

I need to get this off my chest.

[singing in foreign language]

I said it was about my grandma.

My grandma's name is not Dolores, by the way.

[laughs]

Her name real name is Guadalupe,

my uncles, my tios, would always like make fun

of her growing up and they'd be like,

[speaking in foreign language]

I remember just thinking like,

Wow, my grandma feels so many things.

It's actually a beautiful thing

and as Dolores started to become what it is,

it was like this isn't just a song that I would sing

I definitely dedicate this song to like my inner child,

my little mija, my little Becky
