The Heartstopper cast made their feelings known about anti-LGBTQ+ protesters at London's Pride March over the weekend.

Some of the cast from Netflix's beloved show, which is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Alice Oseman and centers around Queer love, had their own float during London's Pride March on July 1. As the float approached a small group of religious protesters, the cast could be seen giving them the middle finger and dancing and singing on the float.

Video taken by PinkNews shows castmembers including Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Yasmin Finney, Will Gao, Sebastian Croft, Kizzy Edgell, and Tobie Donovan all on the float, dancing to music and blowing kisses to the crowd. The float, which displays the Heartstopper logo orange and blue logo, is an upgrade for the cast from last year — which took part in the march by foot.

This isn't the first time that some of the Heartstopper cast has shown their joy in the face of bigotry. During last year's London March, Sebastian Croft, who plays Ben Hope in the show, posted a video of him and others dancing in front of protesters. Croft captioned the video, "Love always wins."

Fans praised the cast last year and continued this time around. “How can you not love them?” one person wrote on Twitter. “THEY ARE ICONIC. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!” another wrote.

The cast's open support for the queer community comes at a time when LGBTQ+ rights are being threatened in the U.S. and worldwide. On Friday, the Supreme Court sided with a website designer in Colorado who didn't want to make websites for gay couples and ruled in favor of businesses not servicing certain groups despite state laws barring discrimination based on sexual orientation, race, gender, and other characteristics. The decision has been called a major step back for LGBQT+ rights.

The videos of the Heartstopper cast having fun in London come the same day that Netflix released the trailer for season 2 of the show. Though the exact plot of season 2 is still under wraps, the author confirmed that it is based on Heartstopper Volume Three, in which Nick and Charlie encounter their first real relationship problems and go on a school trip to Paris.
