Lucy Hale Shares Her Firsts

My first best friend was a girl named Aubrey,

who I haven't spoken to in years so I hope she's doing well.

Hi Teen Vogue, I'm Lucy Hale and today,

we are playing the game of firsts.

Firsts.

It's hard to--

firsts, okay.

First thought I had when I woke up this morning was

do I want an iced soy latte or a hot soy latte.

I went with iced.

First app I check when I wake up.

I hate to admit it, Instagram.

You know, you gotta see what you missed the night before

and then, it's like, Apple News.

Or answering my mom.

My first CD was TLC, Crazy Sexy Cool.

First vacation, I believe, was Panama City, Florida.

I still don't think I've memorized a rap song.

But it was probably like Eminem, Lose Yourself.

My first screen name was, wait for it, kickinit1234.

My first job was a Bratz Doll commercial.

I'm not kidding you.

I was 15 and I was brushing a Barbie Doll's hair.

First red carpet I ever attended.

I believe I was 15, I wore a Forever21 dress,

and it was for some, like, surf girl movie,

some, like, ND surfer movie.

First time ever being star-struck.

I think I just moved out to L.A.

and I was waiting to go in for an audition or meeting

and I saw Tom Hanks walk down the hall.

And that was pretty cool.

The first time I realized that I was famous.

Probably when I looked on, it was right after PLL

had premiered and I saw that the episode was

number one on episode of the week or something.

And that's when I realized it was pretty successful.

First person I followed on Instagram.

I was assume it was, like, Ryan Seacrest.

I don't know why.

First pet was

a cat named Simon,

who was

awful and bit me all the time.

My first crush.

There was a movie growing up called Duston Checks In

and it's about a boy taking a monkey to a hotel.

And there's this little boy, I never knew his name,

but I would rewatch this movie over and over again.

Some child actor in the '90s.

First role model.

I know it sounds, it might sound cliche.

I loved Britney Spears growing up,

'cause I can remember, like,

the first time I saw her music video,

and she did something different

and I thought that that was cool.
