Squigs Beauty is the latest brand going viral on TikTok. The beauty label specializes in not just skin care or hair care but “head care.” According to the brand, their Happy Head Care routine is “a comprehensive approach to caring for the skin on your face and scalp” with fun twists that help you feel happier while doing your daily routine.

Squigs Beauty's hero products are centered around the concept of head care. Starting from the top, the Gooseberry Delight Hair Oil is a special formula using Amla extract to soothe the scalp, protect hair, prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. Other key ingredients include coconut oil for moisture, apricot oil for hydration, Kalonji Oil for antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, and pungent orange peel for hair conditioning.

For the face, Double Shot Face Serum is a moisturizing formula which aims to give the skin a hydrated, plumping effect. The serum includes some vanity staples like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, glycerin and squalane. Tulsi, turmeric, and neem extract are inspired by Squigs founder Nikita Charuza's own South Asian background. (Plus, when at rest, the formula separates into two colors that you shake into one, so you can unlock your inner child and feel like you're doing a science experiment every time you use it.)

These eye-catching blue bottles have been caught in some of our favorite influencers' and celebrities' videos, so we decided to put it to the test! Read our unfiltered thoughts below!

As a natural hair gal (3B/3C), my curls always need as much moisture and hydration as it can get. And while hair oil can do wonders for my dry hair, it can also wreak havoc if I’m not careful. Too much oil will weigh down my curls and cause them to look greasy, so I generally avoid using oils and opt for hair moisturizing mists instead. However, after testing out the Squigs oil, I noticed that my hair looks and feels healthier, without any extra weight. It also helped my scalp feel less itchy, which is a major plus for me. I love that it also doesn’t have a strong fragrance and it comes in a good-sized bottle with 130ML of oil.

I enjoy wearing makeup and whenever I want to create a flawless base, I always prep my skin with a serum. So when I was offered the opportunity to try out Double Shot, I was excited! My first thought when looking at the bottle was, wow, this is a good amount of product (since I’m used to seeing teeny tiny oil bottles). As soon as I applied it to my skin, it immediately felt more hydrated. After letting it dry down for a few minutes, I noticed my skin also had a subtle glow to it, which is a major plus! It also didn’t leave behind a greasy or sticky feeling and felt lightweight. I would definitely recommend this product.

Unfortunately, dry hair and skin have been an issue all my life, so I am constantly looking to breathe new life into my beauty routine to give myself some hydration and glow, and these products were a nice addition. I have an extremely sensitive scalp, so I was nervous to use hair oil overnight. To my pleasant surprise, it didn't irritate me at all or leave me looking greasy at the scalp like other products I've tried have done. I wouldn't say it was a miracle worker for my dry ends or frizz, but to have a product I can use to moisturize my scalp without the irritation is absolutely game-changing.

As for the serum, it couldn't have come to me at a better time. I just started using a vitamin C treatment, and I desperately needed some extra moisture while my skin adjusts. The hyaluronic acid in the serum is the perfect remedy to the extra dryness I've been experiencing, especially when paired with my fave winter moisturizer. Plus, the shaking element made my skincare routine a little more fun than my usual routine – love that for me.

Between hot irons and dyes, I've put my hair and scalp through a lot and it shows. For years, I've been wanting just wear my hair as is without using a straightener or curler, but I haven't been able to because the frizz and heat damage changed the way my hair dried. I first started using Squigs hair oil as a sleeping or pre-shower mask and noticed it significantly helped my dry scalp, reducing flakiness and irritation which helped me go longer without washing it. After seeing a hack on TikTok, I tried using it right out of the shower on my wet hair and noticed that my hair was drying with less frizz and more shine. Then, I began to add an extra layer of oil once my hair has dried to get any stray strands. I've struggled to do this with other serums because it can make the hair look greasy or weigh it down, but the Squigs hair oil is super light so it's a great finishing touch. Over time, I've noticed my hair had become wavy again after the years of straightening and I've been able to wear it down without styling. But for days when I just want to throw my hair in a bun and call it a day, the hair oil also helps me style my hair for a chic sleek look. For how much product you get and all the usage it has, I think it's definitely worth it.

Right off the bat, the serum is one of the most eye-catching skin care products I've ever seen. The split colors are so cool, and shaking it is so much fun, especially when you can see the oils mix and almost look sparkly. I love that the bottle is spill proof, so you never accidentally pour too much product and waste it. The actual serum itself surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be that thick to the touch, but it still is relatively thin, especially once applied. I found that it almost immediately made my skin much softer, which is good for when you need to start putting on makeup ASAP, but your skin is dry. The biggest pro of this product, however, is how glowy it makes your skin. It gives you that glass skin look in an instant—it almost feels like I cheated the skin care system. My only note is that the smell snuck up on me and totally surprised me. It still is pretty light and doesn't linger. I only realized there was one as I was applying it and it wafted to my nose, so put it on carefully if you're sensitive!

I am a huge hair oil girlie. As someone with 4C hair I’m often applying various oils in my hair. I was excited to try out Squigs because I’d heard such good things about their products. I rarely have my natural hair out because I’m either always wearing knotless braids or, more recently, I am wearing a sew-in. So I used the oil often with my braids to keep my natural hair moisturized. The product is lightweight and feels great on my hair and skin.

I also really enjoyed using the serum because of its consistency and moisture properties. I’m very particular about what I put on my skin because of how sensitive it is, so I’m always hesitant to try new things. But this serum was really solid and didn’t cause any irritation to my skin, which is something I’m always looking out for. I also personally love the towel because I am a huge advocate of using a separate towel to dry your face rather than the same one you use for your body.
