Sydney Sweeney just proved that white tips don't have to be basic or boring.

One of the best things about the proliferation of nail art over the last few years is the way manicure masters have taken classic concepts and given them new life. Take French manicures, for example: Instead of the traditional white tips, nail artists have taken liberties by using unexpected colors and even three-dimensional details. On Monday, December 18, Sydney Sweeney attended the Anyone But You Australian premiere (felicitously in Sydney) wearing a beautiful, sheer, cream-colored Givenchy gown that looks like something out of a Greek goddess's closet. She kept her makeup simple yet stunning with sheer, pink, glossy lips, rosy blush, and eyes fully lined in a coppery pencil.

Sweeney's nails weren't quite as simple, though. Although nail artist Zola Ganzorigt started with the foundations of a conventional French manicure — a soft pink polish for the base and a creamy white polish for the tips — the result was anything but ordinary. The tip of each long, oval nail featured a fun-yet-fancy pattern with curved lines of negative space, helping to create what I feel I have no choice but to call the Sweeney Swirl.

Sweeney is clearly a fan of French manicures — especially unexpected tweaks to the standard style. Just a few months ago, she went to Ganzorigt for another twist, adding gems to her nails. But we're especially enamored of the twists and turns on these tips — which, by the way, would look awesome in any color you can imagine.
