TikTok Found a $9 Dupe for Supergoop!’s Unseen Sunscreen at Trader Joe’s

Thanks to the robust beauty and skin care communities on the app, TikTok has become a gold mine when it comes to discovering bargain dupes for pricey products. Not only are these discovered dupes usually way cheaper, they’re also not compromising anything when it comes to ingredients and impact, and, of course, it has done it again. 

The latest TikTok discovery that’s gone viral is a $9 dupe for Supergoop!’s popular Unseen Sunscreen. It’s a fraction of the cost compared to Supergoop’s $36 price tag for the same size, not to mention you can pick it up while grabbing groceries at Trader Joe’s.

TikToker @prettierjesus first pointed out that the two products were strikingly similar when comparing the ingredients and shared their discovery with followers. (Looking at the products' descriptions, the ingredients in Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen aren't 100% the same as those in Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen, but the active ingredients are comparable, as well as a majority of the inactive ingredients.)

Viewers went wild for these findings, and some users even tested the efficacy of the product with the use of UV stickers to make sure it lived up to the hype. (Spoiler alert: it passed the test.)

Eventually, the Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen made it to the radar of TikTok’s favorite dermatologist, @dermdoctor — aka Dr. Shah, who admits that Supergoop! Unseen is his favorite sunscreen.

Dr. Shah compared the two side by side, from ingredients to application, and gave the dupe his official stamp of approval. Another win for beauty dupes on TikTok! If you need us, we’ll be at Trader Joe’s.
